Kathleen Davison is a writer, director, showrunner, and producer. Founder and CEO of Painted Saint Entertainment, Davison established the production company to cull a collective of artists who value high quality content with the power to impact and shift our culture for the better. The projects on the PSE development slate expose lost pieces of American history, balance the gender scales, highlight underrepresented demographics and delve into other dimensions.

Davison is an award-winning filmmaker (Effloresce, Primrose Lane) with over 60 festival accolades to her credit, including best film, best director and best original screenplay. She is the recipient of the Gold Aurora, Silver Telly, and Bronze Telly awards for excellence in commercial direction. Current projects include Revolution Now – a dramatic biopic series about the first woman to run for president in 1872, Tech Bettys – a comedy web series centered on the only two women working in a male dominated tech start-up company, S.I.L.V.I.A. – a sci-fi psychological thriller feature that explores a mother’s shocking discovery about her hybrid newborn, and The Passage – a psychological thriller sci-fi series which unravels the mystery of time and space while confronting the dark forces of the human psyche and dimensions beyond.

Davison’s education includes apprenticeships with Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Frank Darabont, Glen Morgan and James Wong. Several of her projects have been selections for Sundance Institute programs. She holds a BA in theater from Penn State University.

Davison is a Sundance Fellow, a founding and board member of Greenlight Women, a member of Women In Film, SAG-AFTRA, and the Alliance of Women Directors where she has served on the board.
